I have been looking for Thomas Belcher's wife maiden name for several years. My grandmother had here name listed as Sarah Fugate but I have not had much luck. Here is what I have on the family. Didema is my great grandmother. Sometime between 1860 and 1870 Sara moved to Letcher County Kentucky. She is shown in the census as head of household. Didema married a Solomon Hall and later married Matthew Bentley my great-grand father. Morning Belcher married Lynch Fields in Harlan County KY. She died giving birth to a son Anderson in 1882. General Belcher can be found in 1920 Census in Wayne, Scioto County Ohio. He was 68 years old at the time. There is no indication that General was in Letcher county. He may have been there for a short time but there are no records.
