I have a John Belch born 1817 in Pennsylvania son of Joseph Belch. In the 1860 Marion County VA Census, John says his father was born in Ohio. The 1850 Census Index for Ohio shows a Joseph Belch in Tuscawaras County.

Could there be any link to your John Belch?
