I am also researching my family history. My grandma is Dorothy Sims (Maiden name: Balter).Her family is, I believe, from the same area of Belarus. I have not worked on the Balter family because I know my grandmother has a huge family tree going back generations upon generations in her condo. It was put together by a cousin of mine and they keep it updated. If we are talking about the same family perhaps I could help.Eventually I do plan to incorporate her family tree with the one I create for my mothers side.
