Gary, I was born in Poland in Jankowicze, 5 km from Naliboki (it's in Belarus now). I have a detailed map of the area. Unfortunately it only contains a small portion of the region. If you can get a highway map of Belarus, follow Route M1 southwest to Stoubcy (Stolpce in Polish). Then go north 34 km on the second road out of Stoulbcy to Naliboki. By the way Gmina (gminy) is like a township, "Pow" is like a county and Nowogrodek (Nowogrodziekiego) is something between a county and a state. All of these places wer in governmental unit with the capital in Bialystok, which wound up in Poland after the Yalta deal by the WWII allies. One more note: Naliboki was a famous town in the late 1700 and early 1800. The area was owned by the Radziwill family and Ann, the wife of Karol Stanislaw Radziwill established a glass factory in Naliboki. The glasse and goblets produced there were famous all over Europe and can be found in a number of European museams. There was later a steel mill also. There are no traces of either, except the names of some of the English workers/engineers on the headstones in the old cemetary in Naliboki. As far as the Rudnia village goes, it must be west of Naliboki. The detailed map I have only has the central portion of the region from Naliboki to Stolpce. I might be able to find out from the older people that I know that live in Chicago that were born in and around Naliboki. My email address is YanekED@cs.com and I live in Greenfield, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. What is your e-mail address?
