Cupa (Supa) and Denick ? (Dennis)

Looking for information on my grandparents and their families:

My grandfather's name is Ostap (Eustachy) Cupa (Oscar Suppa)- he was born October 15, 1882 in Yunishche (Yuniszcze), Poland, he died in Brazil, South America in June of 1952.

My grandmother's name is Helena (Halina - Helen) her maiden name translated to english was Dennis (possibly German the name might have been Denick?). She was born in 1890 and died in Canada June 21, 1948 and is buried in Englehart, Ontario. Her father's first name was August.

She had two brothers:

Harry Dennis born in Germany? 1889? and died in Englehart, Ontario, Canada in 1940?.

Frank Dennis born in Germany? 1882 and died in Englehart, Ontario, Canada on October 22, 1940.

My grandparent's came to Canada in 1928 with five of their children - Nickolas, Vera, Anne, Alexander, Ruby. They arrived on the sailing vessel the Empress of Australia on May 12th, 1928.

One child Maria went to France and one child Susie went to Brazil, South America.

In Canada they have two other children - Victor and William.

Can anyone verify the origin on the surnames and the correct spelling for Denick?

Thanks, Dot
