Sorry, I can't help you. However perhaps you can help me. My grandfather, Menachem Mendel Perr's (Perrkovitzky) original name was pomerance. In order to be exzempt from the russain draft, he was sent to his uncle Perrkovitzky who had no children and was registered as their son. The law was that only children were exzempt. Do you know of such a story in the Pomerance family? I would like to find our Pomerance relatives. I imagine that I must have some third cousins somewhere.
