Egnace PALIFKA believed to come from Minsk, Russia. Born 15 Apr 1880, Died 16 Mar 1947. Eva ZURAT believed to come from Galicia, Austria approx 1907. Born 20 Dec 1893, Died 20 Jan 1987. Egnace's father was said to come to America a couple of times to work, but returned home. Eva started out originally around Schuykill County, PA. She left behind one brother who took care of a much younger sister. Eva corresponded with this sister until her death in 1987. Eva met Egnace while she was a cook at a boarding house in East Windsor, CT and Egnace was a field hand on a tobacco field. Eva & Egnace married and settled in Windsor, CT. They and a little more than half of their 10 children are buried in Palisado Cemetery in Windsor, CT. Any info, no matter how remote, would be greatly appreciated!
