Grodno is now one of the six regions of Belarus, it was during certain periods the center of Grodno Gubernia (Region) before 1917. If your ancestors come from that area you should ask for the intel at Grodno archives directly.

They reply in Russian to letters in English and it takes them a while to respond due to many queries. If required, I can provide translation from Russian into English free of charge.
