thanks for you inquiry - documents from Fedot's immigration and naturalization say that he and all the family were born in Turow, Mozyr.- other documents spell it Turov (so i think that is the Turov southeast of Minsk) He sailed from Bremen the first ocean voyage, by himself. When he returned to get the family the documents have Antwerp written at the top. I do not know if he had to first go to Turov to get the family, or they met him elsewhere. One one of his immigration papers, it states that one brother of Fedot was an Officer in the Soviet Army, and another brother was Clerk of the Court in a Russian City (i do not know how many sibblings he had) He stated he was of the Greek race. He also stated the family was not able to go to Canada on their own, it was necessary to go and bring them back with him.
