Still looking for information on my Grandparents who immigrated from Russia. My Grandfather was born Feb. 19, 1887 in Slutsk, Minsk. The town Slutsk I got from a baptismal on one of their children. However on his immigration he said he was from Weseje. He had immigrated in 1911. He still had 4 siblings left in Russia when he left. On his immigration he had spelled the last name Aleschko. Also listed his father's name of Ivan Aleschko. Through the years he started spelling it Aleszka. Been very frustrating since he had changed the spelling so many times. My Grandmother was Julia Celebuk. Have never been able to find her immigration. But I believe it was in 1912. I've also been told my Grandparents never knew each other till they met in the US. Julia was born on June 10, 1891 in Russia. Thanks for anyone who can give me some insight!
