I think the reason only Anastasia and Janina show up as coming from Swirowo is that Iwan went to the U.S. first. I think that Anastasia and Janina probably lived in Swirowo with Anastasia's family while Iwan was in the U.S. getting settled. So, you are probably right. I bet Swirowo is a very small village or something. It is sometimes hard to match cities because the cities have different names in Polish/Lithuanian/Russian/German. Iwan only ever says he is from Wilna/Wilno on his Naturalization records, his census papers, and his ship records. He never lists a specific village. I also cannot find his death record. Anastasia never divorced Iwan as far as I know, or got married to the other man, who was a Russian named Vassili Zakharoff. She died on March 1, 1930, in San Francisco, just a month before the 1930 census. I can't find her death record in the California Death Index, either. However, I do know what cemetery she was buried in, I will probably call them and ask if they have any info. Before she left him, Anastasia and Iwan had one more child, Olga Alexandria, who was my great-grandmother. Unfortunately, the City of New York (where she was born) will not release her birth record unless I can send them documents that I am her direct descendent. So I will have to compile the documents proving that first.
