Chaim Hoffman came from Belarus and who on sons manifest lived at 26 Canal NYC which was wrong. I looked at State as well as Federal NYC Census before I found out that wrong address -wrong ed-wrong every thing. I looked at 1910 as well as 1925-
Thinking that he came early 1900 maybe 1905,I searched passenger lists for 1903! I now feel that I should look in 1895 or 99 as well-
Would like to find out how to find correct address-if there is a agency other then the ship lines to collect passage money(banks perhaps) and what port(closest) could he have embarked at?
