Hi Zlatica, I ordered a film from the local family history center (LDS) called the Greek Catholic Consistory but am having a EXTREMELY difficult time reading it. It's in Ukranian Cyrillic. I realized last night that it is for the place called LVIV, Ukraine and not necessarily what i'm looking for. Dvortsy is in Brest near Kamenets, also near place called Mel'niki & Volya. I'm thinking that Wiezna is my best bet for looking for greek catholic records... do you agree? I'm not sure how familiar you are with this region but did the small villages/hamlets have these churches or did they have to go to "town" to attend church? I know that this is our Wisznia: Greek Catholic Church records (births, deaths, communion lists) for Vezhna, Pruzhany, Grodno, Russia (aka Vezhnoe); later Wieżna (Brześć), Polesie, Poland; later Viazhnoe, Kamianets, Brėst, Belarus. Text in Polish. 1792-1831. (not really much help considering Ksenja was born in 1872. I still believe that her birth place (which said Antowi Zcuzus on her passenger record) was most likely the town south of Gancy called Antony and nearby Sedrucz on the map you sent me. I need advice on which direction I should go next. Thanks. Anna Notify Administrator about this message?
