Gary

Not a Polish speaker but of Slavic ancestry so I sort of muddle thru simple Polish.
I can help with research websites in Poland but nothing for Belarus. I see that town of Lida is in Belarus. It is possible that the Polish GRYGANIEC could be somehow related to your ancestor.
The "moikrewni site" says that in Poland 4 persons with surname GRYGANIEC with 1 in Luban and around.
I looked only in Luban's phone book and did not find a listing. www.ksiazka-telefoniczna.com
