Czesiek and Czeslaw it's the same name, but Czesiek, Czesiu we use in private comunication with that person - family or friend's circle, "My dear Czesiu" Official form is Czeslaw.
Of course his name could be Czyzyk but i don't fink so, as this name was not popular in that time and in that teritory.
You should look for that person in the parishes near Pinsk, now Belarus.
But if you have passport of your relative, you should write to Belarus State Archive, so you could find out the place where you family lived. Next you will find some registers, tax registers, registers of voters - etc etc
