I am looking for anyone with information with the area surrounding Minsk. My husband's grandfather came from a village name Karolina. His sister was said to come from Minsk, and a brother-in-law came from Latovitch. Is this in the area that is now Belarus, or is it from the area closer to Warsaw, Poland. Any help narrowing down the area would be appreciated. The family names I am looking for are Walesiak (Canadian spelling) Klos and Hastman.
