On my fil manifest it states that his passage was paid for by his father, Chaim, and gives Chaim address in 1906 as 26 Canal St. NYC. I have looked on 1903 passenger lists. I have looked for the state census and the federal 1910 and 1920 and cannot find him.
I have been thinking that he might of come through Quebec. And NY earlier like 1901 or maybe even 1905 for if he put money aside, he would have had to have a job!
Would the passage be through the ship company or a bank?Where would I find him?
