Roger, don't give up. I am currently working with an individual in Minsk who contacted me this past May. He says that he is researching his family history and found that his mother's maiden name is the same as mine. My father was from Belarus and he immigrated to the USA in 1913. He died in 1959. At that point I felt that was the end of the line as far as my father's family was comcerned. However, this individual in Minsk and I have had many E-mail contacts during the last 2 months. He has been trying to get information from the national achives for some time now and he is still waiting. They are obviously very slow. I feel that this is really part of my family because of several common facts that we have exchanged. You just don't ever know what will turn up.

Regards,

Al
