Hi all,
I found through Shtetlseeker on Jewishgen that there is a town called Kobrin, Belarus. I can certainly see how someone could write down Colbrin instead. Now I know the name of my friend's immigrant ancestor & his father's name AND what town he most likely came from. So here comes the hard part I guess. How do I do research in Belarus? I would like to find birth & death records and continue to trace the family in Belarus. Any suggestions? I'd also like to get hold of a phonebook from Kobrin just for fun to see if any other Cutkos still live there. Thanks in advance!
