I am researching KAZANSKY family from SIROTIN, nr VITEBSK.
Moved to Palestine in late 1800's - head of family then
Chaim Abba Kazansky. Am under impression he worked as a Matzah baker in Jerusalem
Offspring variously to:
UK - Harris Kazansky
USA via UK - Joe Kazan (Kazansky)
USA poss. via UK - Baruch Kazansky
Have had tentative lead on a David who used both forms of surname also went to USA.
Other siblings may well have stayed in Palestine.
