I am a Bejarano.
My grandparents are Gustavo and Maria Marquez Bejarano. They both came through the pueblo Cananea, Sonora, Mexico and traveled to the Southwest, i.e., (AZ) (CA) (NM) (USA).
An old college friend who is a Hebrew linguist, said to me, "The meaning of "Bejarano" is "One [He] who is chosen".
