My 4ggrandfather was John Jacob Roth, baptised in 1765 at
Trappe Lutheran Church, his father Johannes Jacob Roth "deceased", his mother Mary Ann Pittel, sponser Jacob
Pittel. I have tried to find Pittels, no luck, someone suggested Pickel?? Was wondering if your surname was ever
misspelled thus? My Roth/Rhoad ancestors lived in Whitehall,
Nazareth, Egypt, Bath, S. Bethlehem. Can you help? I'm sure
Mary Ann probably remarried. Thanks
