Beitel Family Genealogy Forum

Hi all! After reading a book set in 15th Century Bohemia relating to Jan Hus, I began looking at the geneolgy book sent by Gregg of TN to my parents, Orin L and Anna M. Beitel. It was actually a mention of Queen Sophia in the book I was reading (The Silver Sword by Angela Elwell Hunt) that made me look. This past fall I plugged in some information into a chart on ancestry.com, and while much cannot be verified, found "royalty" in my lineage. I don't have that information in front of me, but I seem to remember a Princess Sophia from around the Czech Republic/Eastern Europe area. To make a long story short, I came upon this forum after googling the Moravian church.
I remember as a kid looking up "Beitel" somewhere and having come across a definition of "money bag". I was interested to see that the money bag actually comes from "beutel" rather than "beitel" which apparently means chisel. I just thought I would stick in my two-cents.
I'd love to know how we relate? I believe I am something like a 4th cousin to Gregg of TN, but have not seen the names of anyone in my immediate line that I am familiar with. I am the granddaughter of James Arthur Beitel and Pearl (Des Autel)Beitel. I think grandma's name was actually Gertrude??? I think my great-grandfather was Arthur James, and his father before him may have been James Arthur. I seem to recall my Aunt Helen telling me that my Uncle Jim (James Arthur) was something like the 3rd with that name. Without Gregg's book in front of me, I do not recall which of Heinrich's sons I decind from. I have really enjoyed reading the postings and hope to get to know how we're related.
