Hello Leanne,
Can you tell us where Elizabeth and Joseph were born? The
group of Beitels that are the majority of respondents on this forum are the descendants of Heinrich Beitel who came to this country in 1740 from Germany and settled in PA, as missionaries of the Moravian Church. I have been led to believe that the Beitels that are in San Antonio came in later around 1850 and are not directly the ancestors of Heinrich Beitel, but maybe somewhere back there in Prussia or Germany they are connected.
