Looking for the town of origin in Germany of Michael Beil, of St. Clair County, Illinois. I believe he arrived in New York in 1840, was in Pennsylvania at least long enough to be naturalized, but possibly as long as 5 years, between 1840 and 1845, He eventually migrated to St. Clair County, Illinois where he married Caroline Ammel in 1845. He was probably born between 1818 and 1820. The only reference to his origin is "Rheinbavaria". Would love to communicate with other descendants.
