Henry (Heinrick) Behrman(n) circa 1880-90 Brooklyn, NY
I am looking for information on a Henry or Heinrick Behrman(n) who is my great grandfather. My brother Bradford C. Behrman III has a photo of Henry and his brother? along with other family members (father?) outside of Ellis Island? in the late 1800's.
This is important to note:Henry was married "twice".But it is not known whether this was due to divorce or death. We know there are step children (relatives out there, an addition to the branch of our tree)
We know that in the early 1900's Henry resided in or near Montclair NJ, where my grandfather Bradford C. Behrman and his sister Celeste (Aunt Dot) were born.He came to Montclair, NJ, from Brooklyn, NY.We have no idea where he ended up or moved to from there. We do know that he outlived his son Bradford. It is said he passed away in the 1970's somewhere. (his death info is not certain)
Bradford C. Behrman moved to the Jersey shore, S. Belmar, where he lived his life as Police Chief along with his wife, my grandmother, Eva M. Behrman, who is now 98 yrs old.Brad and Eva had two natural children and two adopted. My father Bradford C. Behrman Jr. and my Aunt Doris.
Gram tells us that Henry's wifes name was a ... Carrie Baldwin, a Carrie Marceline/Angeline Baldwin?.We cannot get her to commit to a sure name. She says she didnt get to know him or her well or for very long.
If any of this sounds remotely familiar to you, please respond. We have been looking for years for you.Feel free to write directly. We have a large family waiting to meet you.
See www.southbelmar.com and search photo pages for "Behrman Park Dedication"My father looks just like his father, a near clone of him.I can only hope/assume this holds true for Henry.
Look forward to hearing from someone
