Richard~
I am pretty new to this geneology thing, only being 19 years old.I am trying to go after any clues that might connect more family ties.I know that my Christian Behm's son (Michael), was born in Mewegen, Pommern, Germany in 1799.His mother (Elenora Ellmann) died in Mewegen, Pommern, Germany in 1802.Not to sound stupid, but if Lancaster is close to Mewegan there could be a possibility of relations-->if it's not, then obviously they (Michael and Christian) aren't brothers. Also, do you know anything about the Behm name actually being spelled: Boehm??My mom's cousin went to Germany and found records of Michael and Christian spelling their name Boehm recorded in some places and Behm in others. Thanks for responding though.Hope this may help. I know what you are talking about when you say your at a stone wall--I have been put up against many thus far in my searches.
I have another twist to this.I actually have two Behm's that married one another, well a Boehm and Behm.I have another Christian Behm Jr. that was born in 1815 in Rothen, Klemphow, Germany. His parents were Christian Behm and Maria Wittkopp. This would be a farther stretch in dates, but just thought I would mention it.I know that would be repeating the name Christian Behm, but at least in some of my family lines that are dated, they had more than one child with the same name.
