My great-great grandmother was named Catherine Behan or Behen and she was born in Virginia, She was the second wife of Michael Cox who was born in Westmeath County Ireland and came to the US in 1834. They moved to the area of Dubuque, Iowa (a place called Garryowen, I think). Their daughter, my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Cox was born in Richmond, VA March 2, 1841. She married John M. Lenihan and one of their sons, Michael Francis Lenihan was my grandfather.
I have had a lot of trouble locating Catherine Behan's family. Any help would be so much appreciated.
