Hi Debra

Kanturk is about 54km drive north west of Cork. About half way between Limerick and Cork. It sounds like there were not great multitudes of Behans in the area so hopefully that will make it easier to track down some of my ancestors.

My grandfather Herbert Behan was born in Mackay Queensland Australia. His father John Behan must have migrated some time before his birth in 1903. Perhaps he met Elizabeth Doyle, Herbert's mother in Mackay. Elizabeth was born in Cranaugh County Carlow abt 1865.

Kind Regards
Joanne
