Hello Fellow Begins,
I'm In search of my fathers Adoptive father.
His name is/was Silvio J. Begin and the last address I have for him is Schenectady N.Y.
He and his first wife Regina Dondalski adopted my father in the area. I have my fathers birthplace as Troy, New York. He was 4 when they adopted him and he spent some time in an orphanage there somewhere. The family was very close mouthed about the adoption so details are hard to come by.
my father was born January 21,1938 and the name he was given(at adoption)was Edward Silvio Begin. I can only hope that the fact that he was so old when adopted that the name his real parents gave him was Edward.
The stories told by the family had to do with is real parents were part of a traveling orchestra and had no time for a child so they gave my father up.
