Hi Marcia,

As far as I can tell, I am not related to this family. I am from Dublin myself and I have traced my family as far back as 1815. Ebenezer was a Church of Ireland member, while my ancestors aroud this time were Roman Catholic.

If you have not already done so you should have a look at Griffiths Valuation. There is also a website with a load of old business directories called failteromhat.com. You should find a lot of references to Ebenezer Beggs and also a David Beggs, who I think may have been his brother.

I have a couple of newspaper articles about his family, although nothing shocking. One is the Death nothice of Henry George, and the other is an Advert from Margaret Beggs, stating that she is still open for business after her husband died. If you send me your e-mail I will forward the on to you.
