In order to assist in the identification of this Charles Beggs, let me say that it is believed that he had at least one sister (or, she might have been a cousin, if not a sister) who lived in Jersey Ville, IL. Her name was Rhoda (Beggs ? ) Irvin who was known to have been living in Jersey Ville during World War I. Her husband was Doug Irvin. He was slightly crippled and worked in the courthouse at Jersey Ville. It is believed that this Charles Beggs had brothers, too. However, their possible names are unknown. Rhoda and Doug
Irvin had children whose nicknames were Tom, Jim, Sue, and Dovie, according to a relative from MO who visited in Jersey Ville during WW I.
