So was one of the sons of William Beggs a Edwind Biggs? Edwin is found in Ashland Illinois, a county and a half east of Mt. Sterling, where in 1905 he becomes a member of the Board for the State Bank of Ashland. http://www.statebankofashland.com/

My connection to Edwin is not by blood. My gr grandfather, Edwin Booth Smith, invented some farm equipment and I think Edwin Beggs was the money partner. Fred's name followed by "Ashland" appears handwritten on the back of an old photo of the farm equipment. This photo is circa 1900.

According to the Illinois Marriage Index, Edwin Biggs married Emma Beggs. A cousin?
