Irene Evelyn Beggs, 85, of Desert Hot Springs died Jan. 10, 2006, in Desert Hot Springs.
She was born April 1, 1920, to Dean George Dew and Evelyn Astrea Mulnix Dew in Vona, Colo.
She was a secretary with the painter's union in Los Angeles for 31 years.
She was a member of Mission Lakes Country Club.
She is survived by her sister, Maxine Aggus of Carson; and a stepbrother, Oliver Anderson of San Antonio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Beggs, in 1992.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Mortuary in Desert Hot Springs
