I would like to get in touch with any desendants of Melissa and Oliver Lackey. Oliver Lackey and Melissa Beggs married in Sevier co. Arkansas June 25, 1832. She is listed as Melissa "Baggs}. Miss spelling of
the name.
Melissa's married #1 my Grt. Grt. Grandfather Robert W. Beggs.
"Robert Beggs, of mature age, of Sevier Co. to Malissa Stewart. 16. with consent of her mother, Mrs. McEmtore. 28. March 1849 by Josiah Corbell J.P."
There was a 24 year age difference!
Melissa went back home to Mother. She is listed in the 1850 Sevier Co. Ark. Cenus.
MCINTIRE, MARTHA 51 b. Tn
Baggs, {Beggs} Malissa 17 b. Tn.
She had other siplings in this house hold: Minerva NcIntire age 16 b. Ark.,William McIntire age 14 b. Ar. and Phillip McIntire age 11 b. Ark.
I would love to hear from any descendants of the above people mentioned.
Interested if the Lackey's had any children and where descendants live now. Would like to get in touch with them.
