There is a wonderful cite in the town of Plainfield, IL dedicated to the life and service of Edward Beggs. There used to be a fort located there: Fort Beggs. I am not sure what war the Fort is from, but there is a street named after it also. The cemetary nearby also names several beggs'. Elizabeth Beggs, her daughter, and Edward Beggs. All of which bare very old headstone dating many years ago. Although I am short on technicalities, I thought perhaps someone out there might find some interest in this information... thankyou.
