In the last few weeks, I went on a record hunting trip to Rockbridge County and surrounding area in VA. I found some records concerning Alexander Beggs. Basically, wife was Sarah. He had one son Thomas, and a number of daughters; Jane(Jean), Viz, Margret, Martha, Agnes, Mary. Thomas married Ann Whitley - 14 Apr 1786. Martha married Jonathan Poage(Poague) - 27 Mar 1794. Jane married Andrew Baily - 14 Nove 1809 and then John McClung - 6 Dec 1814. Sarah died May/June 1794.

I am related to Alexander Beggs, via Thomas Beggs, Thomas's Son John Beggs, John's Son William Beggs, William's Son, Samuel Sr, and Samuel Sr's son, Samuel Presley Beggs, Jr., all of Virginia. I'll have all this on my web site in a few weeks. http://www.bbcyber.com/genealogy. I have some of this on now, but there are some mistakes that I have found with new information from this latest trip.
