I have a great, great grandmother Catherine Beggans who came to JC from Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Ireland in 1880. Don't know if there's a connection. Her parents were James and Sarah Beggans. Catherine married my great, great grandfather, William McKiernan in Ireland before coming to the US. I have the family traced from there to present but not further back in time.
