Hi Michelle, i'm sorry i haven't got back to you before now. You probably met my Dad who was Gus at one of the reunions. His twin, Guy, died in 1980, or somewhere around there. Dad wasn't a vert big guy. He stood about 5"7" and weighjed about 145 lbs soaking wet, so i am sure he is the one you met. uncle Guy was a lot bigger.
Guess you have seen that we have a family crisis. we are trusting that the Lord will totally heal Monty and we can have him around for many more yrs.
It is gorgeous here today. guess we are supposed to really enjoy it, they are talkibg snow Monday. So far, it has all gone around us and KC has gotten it, which is not unusual. all we'vew had has been just a few flakes.
how is your genealogy search going???? it can get time-consuming. if you would like a copy of the landgrant and deed of Uncle Joe, you can get that from the clerk at tucumcari. I got copies of both sets of my granparents homesteading and their deeds, i believe, when i was there one time. i can't remember what the gals title was, but think her 1st name was Jeanetta. You might check the count offices there to see for sure. I must go. have a great weekend. Judy
