Hi--Thanks for the follow up on Chalk Beeson. It's been a number of years since I visited the museum in Dodge City--sounds as if we need to go again.Since we live in the Oklahoma Panhandle (No-Man's Land) Dodge City isn't all that far. We used to sell our cattle at Dodge. I often wish I could talk to my grandmother again about the family connections but she's been gone for many years. There is a J. W. Beeson who lives in this area--a saddle maker, cowboy and cowboy poet. We have visited about family connections but he's never pursued the idea.
