Beeson/Cherokee marriage 1600-17??

Greetings all you fellow Beesons!! I feel certain that my line of
Beesons fit in here somewhere, and although I have read the St Clair County lineage and Gail's very thorough family line, I can't seem to place my grandfather or his ancestors.
My grandfather was William Riley Beeson of Neshoba County, Mississippi.(He was born in Arkansas I believe.)
He was born in the late 1800's and died in 1961 or '62. His wife was Tabitha Martha Ellen Smith.
I don't know much about my great grandfather as he left the family when my grandfather was young.
Daddy Beeson ( my grandfather) left home when he was very young, and wouldn't speak of or acknowledge the father that abandoned him. I think that the family lived in Arkansas at this time and that there were
other children(siblings of my grandfather.)I don't know their names)
Daddy Beeson loved to talk about his previous ancestors though and told
us that his gggrandfather came from England & married a Cherokee girl,"as those women they were selling for tobacco weren't decent."
Although I have seen it mentioned somewhere that there is some Cherokee
somewhere along a Beeson line, I cannot tie it together with my grandfather, especially since I have very little to go on.
The story is interesting though and I thought maybe some of you may
have heard a similar story in your Beeson line???
William Riley Beeson and Tabitha Martha Ellen Smith Beeson had 5 children:
> Willie (female who died of whooping cough as a young adult, she had 2 children, Fred and Agnes).
> Mary (married James Abel and had 2 children, James and John Allan)
> Alta Mae ( married Odell Dallis and had 1 child, Jeanette)
> John William (married Mary Laughtery and had 2 daughters, Susan and Ann)
and last but not least:
> Ola(my mother) who had 3 children, Mary Margaret{me}, Ken, and DaEva.
Organization is not my strong suit, so I hope all this makes sense.
I have a burning desire to figure out my Beeson connection and find more detailed info.
If you think youmight be able to help out please e-mail me at
