The archives show that some of you have done lots of research on the Beesons who lived in and around STOKES Co & FORSYTH Co, NORTH CAROLINA in the 1700's and 1800's. However, no one seems to have mentioned the following three Beeson females although they appear in census records and in the marriage records for Stokes/Forsyth Co NC. I'm guessing that some of you have found these women in the same records I did and I'm hoping we can put our heads together and figure out where they belong in the Beeson lines. 1. ELIZABETH BEASON/BEESON b. abt 1822 who married DORSEY PEDDYCORD/PEDDICORD in Forsyth Co.NC on 24 Dec 1838. I have no idea who were Elizabeth's parents. "IF" her parents were living in Stokes Co., NC in 1830, Eliz would have been about 8 years old and only 2 females age 5-10 are found in the Beeson families in 1830 Stokes Co -- one is in the household of MAGDALINE BESON [sic] and one is in the household of AMASSA BESON [sic]. But I have no way of knowing where Elizabeth's parents were living in 1830. Clearly she was in Stokes/Forsyth Co by 1838 when she married Dorsey. Does anyone know anything more about this Elizabeth Beeson? 2. JANE BEESON b. 30 Sept 1816; d. 18 March 1891 who married HORATIO HAMILTON PEDDYCORD/PEDDICORD in Forsyth Co. NC. Jane & Horatio both lived into their 70's and are supposed to be buried in the Middle Fork Cem. aka Masten family cemetery in Forsyth Co. NC. Horatio & Dorsey Peddycord were brothers so it would make sense if Elizabeth and Jane were sisters, but I have not found a family in the 1830 census that has two females in the same household who fit the ages of Jane and Eliz. In 1830 Absolom Beson[sic] has a female age 10-15 in his household and Jane would have been about 14 in 1830. Wm Beson [sic]has a female age 15-20. Does anyone know who Jane's parents were? Jane & Horatio had 11 or 12 children so I'm guessing that someone out there knows something about Jane. 3. MAGDALINE BESON [sic] appears as head of household in the 1830 census in Stokes Co. NC. In her household is one male age 10-15; 1 female age 5-10 and 1 female age 30-40 who must be Magdaline herself. All the Beesons seem to be listed as "Beson" in the 1830 census in Stokes Co and the only heads of households that I found were: Magdaline, William, Abner, Amassa & Absolom. Wm, Abner, Amassa & Absolom appear in other genealogies, but I've never seen any Beeson male married to a woman named Magdaline. Does anyone know who MAGDALINE BEESON was or who she was married to, or the names of the 2 children living with her in 1830? All help is appreciated! Thanks! Notify Administrator about this message?
