I, too, am descended from Rachel Beeson via Amaziah, Darius and Alfred. My ggrandfather was Elias Newton, 2nd child of your Alfred and wife, Mary Cox. I have copy of their Henry County, IA marriage certificate.
FHC film #384263 Warren Co., OH, Marriage Records shows Darius Beeson and Rachel Spray married 23 Aug 1817. 1830 Census for Wayne Co., IN, page 151, shows 2 adults and 5 children. On the 1850 census of Salem Twp, Henry Co., IA, page 242, family 1178 shows Darius as a farmer.
I have one thin connect on a census which has Elias as a son of Alfred. Which child of Alfred and Mary Cox are you descended through?
