I am attempting to retrace my mothers side of the family after proving quite successful with my father's side, though this side of my family is proving quite difficult.

I am not sure when or where exactly but I remember being told stories as a little girl of when my nan and great uncle were born during the second world war in Norfolk. Their family name was Beeson, and my great uncle is called William which seems to be a common name in the Norfolk Beesons.

I have also learnt (though as to the accuracy of this statement is unknown), that the parents (or grandparents) of my maternal great grandmother, owned one of the manor houses that the National Trust looks after today. If anyone can help me further, especially with the authenticity of the stately house statement (a location would be greatly appreciated) please get in touch.
