My great, great grandfather was Thomas Bees, born 1831 Keynsham. Father James Bees, mother Eliza Carpenter, living in Bristol in 1851 census. In 1851 James was 39 and was born in 1813,baptised in 1814, son of James Bees and Betty??. Although there is James Bees and Betty Clements, who married in 1780, Betty would have to have been at least 16 on marriage and would therefore have to have been in her 50's when James was born in 1813. I am wondering ifmy James' father was the son of James and Betty, born 1797, making him 16/17 in 1813 and just also happened to be married to a Betty/Elizabeth.
James (who married 1780 to Betty) was apparently (not checked by me) the son of John Beece and Martha who I do know had a son James in 1755.
