Beery Family Genealogy Forum

Hello Judy,
I have reseached my Beery/Berry family for sometime now.
The name Magdalena Berry caught my eye while reading your message. Also the fact your Beerys were in Putnam County early on .My GG-Grandfather was George Washington Berry Md. Magdalena Bixler in 1833.I have traced this family up into the Crawford/Wyandot Co. area.George's parents according to his death cert was John & Susannah Berry both born Virginia.I have found land deeds where John Berry purchased land from Abraham Bope in 1830 while still in Fairfield Co. later sold this same land in 1841 both he and Susannah Berry made their marks & their names were signed for them .The farm was located in Tymochtee twp. Crawford Co. later this twp became Wyandot co.I have found an Elizabeth Berry Md. to Alexander Lowmaster & a Susannah Berry Md. John Terflinger .The Terflinger couple wound up in Putnam co Susannah Berry Terflinger died there in Van Buren twp buried in the East Belmore Cemetery. Elizabetyh Berry Lowmaster Died in Wood Co Weston twp buried in the Beaver Creek Cemetery Grand Rapids Cemetery. My Goerge Berry moved over into Indiana then on up into Michigan and finally died there, buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery Indian River Mi.Does any of this sound like any of yours.I can't make up my mind if ours was Beery and changed to Berry over the years.Thank you.
