Hi Mary, I am new to this Web site. I just read a couple of these forum messages and replies. I may be able to direct you to some more info that links way back to a Nicholas Piere(Beery). If this is the same person who registered as an emigrant at the port of Philadelphia, Pa., Oct. 16, 1727. A book I have been reading for info on my tree "Beary" mentions of three persons who the author believes could have been brothers. So far(I'm up to page 65 of a book of at least 155 pages)it appears that these Beerys are not related to my "Beery,Beary" lineage(at least not very close--may have been related overseas). This book begins with a small amount of info that may interest you later in your search for family linkage. I learned lately that we need to go a step at a time, but believe that one needs to at least jot down sources when we come across them. This author(Joseph H.Wenger; South English, Iowa 1905)follows up on the brother Abraham Beer(Beery) who came on this ship from Switzerland. Joseph also goes into tidbits that may help us find info better. Such as the different spellings of our Beery name : Beer, Bier, Biera, Bera, Piere, Piery, Peary, Beary(my spelling), and Beery. Please feel free to E-mail me. I'm quite busy at times, so give lots of time for my reply in case. It's great what all we can learn from these searches! "tlbeary@usachoice.net"
