Joe,

I have never known of any Scots Beery families.

The Beery Family in America descends from Nicholas Bieri (Beery), who arrived in Philadelphia aboard the "Friendship" on October 16, 1727.

Nicholas was a Mennonite, born in Switzerland and raised in the Palatinate of Germany. He and his family joined the Pennsylvania Dutch community of Lancaster Co. PA, in the section that later became York Co.

In the first decade of the 1800s, many Beery families went west to Fairfield Co. Ohio.
