I am also looking for information on a Patrick Beary from the same period. My Great Grandmother was Margaret M. Beary b: 4 Jul 1862 in Ireland and died 11 May 1924 in Newark, NJ. She was married to Patrick J. Hedigan. I have just obtained a copy of her death certificate which lists her parents as Patrick Beary and Margaret Ryan both obviously born in Ireland. I just finished checking Census Soundex records for NJ 1880, 1900 and saw no Bearys listed. So I was just thinking that there might be a NYC connection. Since the name is so rare and it is in the same time period and area of the US perhaps there is some connection. I will be looking for any thoughts you might have. Thanks.
