I am searching for living descendants of a Beers family who lived in Charlotte, Vermont in the late 1700's through the 1800's. I have names/some dob's/some marriage dates for three generations which I will list below. My mother and I have in our possession a family Bible which belongs to this family, and we would like to see that it gets returned to the family!
Generation One:
Matthew Beers, dob 1/14/1765 married 11/8/1787 to
Currence Hurlbert, dob 6/26/1763.
Their children, Generation Two:
1. Marrilla Beers, dob 1/28/1789 married 12/8/1807 to
Wilson Williams
2. Polly Beers, dob 6/22/1795 married 9/13/1813 to
John Hollenbach
3. Currence Beers, dob 4/21/1797 married 1/21/1815 to
JB Hollenbach
4. Hinman Beers, dob 11/27/1793 married 11/26/1820 to
Elizabeth (Betsey) Sheldon, dob 8/31/1799. Hinman died 12/27/1873, and Betsey died 4/12/1864. Both are buried in the Barber Cemetery in Charlotte, Vermont. They are the owners of the Family Bible, as an inscription written in the front of it reads "Presented to Hinman and Betsey Beers, by your son and daughters".
5. Philo Beers, dob 11/4/1802
Generation Three are Hinman and Betsey's children:
1. Currence Ann Beers, dob 4/17/1824 married 4/15/1845 to
James A. Durand.
2. Laura M Beers, dob 7/5/1821, died 1866, married 9/2/1849
to Sigmund A Humphrey.
3. James M Beers, dob 7/21/1826, married Minerva Hill.
4. Mary Pru Beers, dob 7/26/1833 married 9/2/1863 to
Henry C Rood.
